The 15th GCC Engineering Forum kicks start in Bahrain on Sunday at the Gulf Hotel Convention Centre under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa. The four-day event is being held under the slogan “Affordable Housing”.
The Bahrain Society of Engineers is co-organising the symposium in cooperation with the Gulf Engineering Union.
Technical Committee chairman Isa Janahi said that over 30 research papers would be discussed.
They will spotlight key topics on designing affordable housing by introducing new ideas and demonstrating new methods and principles in design and building materials.
Applying smart technology in building especially the technologies related to energy and water saving, latest techniques and development in Urban Planning and dedicating areas for affordable housing will also be scrutinised.
Arab and foreign engineers acknowledged for their scientific and practical expertise will take part.
Janahi called on Bahraini engineers to participate and profit from this golden opportunity to enrich their expertise.
