His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa issued directives to re-build some dilapidated homes, which are classified as critical cases, as part of the Dilapidated Houses Renovation Programme.
HRH Premier was speaking as he met with Muharraq Municipal councillors, investors and services ministers. He directed the Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry to survey them and study their condition in order to take the necessary measures regarding them. HRH the Prime Minister urged to speed up new housing projects to cater for citizens’ needs all over the Kingdom. He also ordered some infrastructure projects in Muharraq to be completed and directed the set up more recreational and trade projects.
“The government will continue its vital projects to further improve citizens’ welfare,” he pledged. “Our main responsibility is to serve all citizens by providing them with adequate services mainly in the housing, health and educational fields,” he stressed urging ministers and officials to closely follow up on the government programmes and fast-track projects. HRH the Prime Minister was also briefed on development projects in the Southern Governorate and instructed ministries and government bodies to coordinate with the Southern Municipal Council to ensure their completion.
