Kuwait Finance House–Bahrain (KFH-B) announced its golden sponsorship of the 4th King Hamad Trophy Golf Championship 2011 as part of its commitment to the sport community in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The international event was held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and took place at the Royal Golf Club from 24 to 26 November 2011.
“We are pleased to support the 4th King Hamad Trophy Golf Championship and contribute towards raising the profile of the Kingdom as a major destination for world top class sports championships,” Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, Managing Director and CEO of KFH-B, said.
“The Golf community is emerging today as one of the key growth drivers of the tourism industry and we will always endeavour to support initiatives that invigorates the Kingdom’s economy,” he added.
“Bahrain is the first country in the GCC to embrace the sport. The Championship attracts many players from Bahrain and other Middle Eastern and Asian countries. This year, we are expecting around 100 professional and amateur players from a number of countries. The Championship also attracts a large number of spectators and golf enthusiasts from in and out of Bahrain. We are particularly grateful to KFH-Bahrain for their valuable support,” Ali Sager Al Noaimi, Vice President of Bahrain Golf Association, said.
KFH-B Executive Management presented a cheque to the Chairman of the Championship’s Hospitality and Reception Committee, Captain Adel Al Fayyadh.
