Bahrain’s Interior Ministry in a statement on Thursday denied allegations that a girl had been arrested from the Hospital. In a statement the Ministry said that Ashwaq Al-Maqabi had already been sentenced to six months in jail for rallying at City Centre.
“The girl has been discharged by the doctor and transferred to the women’s prison to serve the sentence”, Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs said, debunking the allegations of Al-Wefaq.
He described the statement made by Al-Wefaq as lacking credibility, aiming only to incite public opinion.
The Health Ministry has also confirmed that the girl was first admitted to Salmaniya Medical Complex on October 20 to be treated from Sickle Cell disease.
She has been discharged on Thursday, 10th November 10, after completing her treatment and transferred to the prison.
