Young Arab Leaders (YAL) Bahrain held its second event as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2011 titled “Turn your talent into a career.” Thirty aspiring Bahraini entrepreneurs took part in an art workshop with a business twist led by creative agency Obai & Hill at their offices in the Bahrain Financial Harbour.
The workshop served as a crash course that helped the young artists turn their talents into a business concept for their future careers. The workshop primarily focused on branding, marketing, and networking elements both on a local and regional scale.
GEW 2011 also covered ‘Start Up Circuit’ which offered budding entrepreneurs a step-by-step guide through the legal processes to be followed to start a business. The final event of GEW 2011 will concludes on Thursday with an interactive presentation given by one of the region’s top entrepreneurs, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Founder and Chairman of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) at the Sheraton Hotel.
All events aimed at inspiring young entrepreneurs and connecting them with others who are like-minded, so that ideas can be exchanged while also providing mentoring for the next generation of enterprising talent to help them pursue their dreams. This was the third year that YAL Bahrain organized GEW in Bahrain, a world-wide initiative celebrated by over 120 countries across the world which supports YAL’s aim to create a culture of entrepreneurship in the Arab world.
