Under the kind auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Deputy King and Crown Prince, the Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on behalf of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, attended Al-Hikma Society for Pensioners third annual ceremony during which 150 pensioners have been honored to coincide with His Majesty’s 12th Accession Anniversary and the Kingdom of Bahrain’s 40th National Day.
“The patronage of His Highness the Deputy King and Crown Prince each and every year ensures his generous support to the society and its activities and appreciation of the great role and efforts contributed by pioneers in building our beloved Kingdom,” Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, said.
“To go into retirement means ushering into a new phase after years of service and laudable efforts so as to take some time out to help enrich the experience and expertise of people around you as a pensioner and to find opportunity to get in touch with your local community and even find sufficient time to relax,” Dr. Shaikh Mohammed, added.
He praised efforts and accomplishments made by the honourees who served the best interest of the Kingdom of Bahrain and defended our national unity in the same manner like their fathers and forefathers in order for Bahrain to remain peaceful and secure throughout the generations under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He also asserted that the Society intends to accomplish more things for pensioners in coordination with various official institutions and continue efforts through various programs for this purpose.
Khalifa Al-Sukairan, a pensioner, spoke on behalf of the honorees and expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the kind patronage and support from His Royal Highness the Deputy King and Crown Prince for the annual ceremony in recognition of retirees and hailed the efforts of the wise leadership of this beloved country which is verily everybody’s oasis of security, safety and amity.
Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa honored ten pensioners who retired from the private and public sectors as well as from the military.
