Bahrain has decided to be part of the GCC unit participating in the Arab League delegation of observers to Syria.
“The decision stems from the kingdom’s belief in the importance of joint Arab action following a resolution by the Gulf Cooperation Council to send a unified unit representing all the GCC countries to take part in the Arab League delegation to observe the situation in Syria,” the Foreign Ministry in a statement, said.
“The decision reflects the Kingdom’s keenness to tackle the situation in Syria within an Arab framework that safeguards the safety and independence of Syria, protects the Syrian people’s rights, dignity and security and achieves their legitimate aspirations,” it added.
