The organizing committee of the Civil Aviation’s Festival scheduled to be hosted on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Day, convened a meeting at Mӧvenpick Hotel for all participants from the governmental departments and private and public organizations and resident community in Bahrain as well as media organizations to inform them about the festival’s activities.
The festival is hosted under the slogan: (Civil Aviation Festival in love of the motherland) by the Civil Aviation Affairs during the 40th National Day celebrations under the kind auspices of His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Deputy Premier on Friday and Saturday 16 and 17 December 2011.
Aviation Affairs Undersecretary captain Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Gaod thanked His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa the Deputy Premier for his patronage of the celebrations, expressing gratitude and appreciation for the prompt response exhibited from all organizations for the sake of celebrating this dear anniversary which binds all spectrums of the community of the various denominations and nationalities under the banner of infatuation with Bahrain.
Captain Al-Gaod explained the festival’s functions and the participating sides, assuring that the Civil Aviation Affairs is committed to devoting all potentials and facilitations to ensure the success of this festival.
Public Relations head at the Civil Aviation Affairs Yusuf Mahmoud explained the festival’s functions and the regions which host these activities.
He explained that the festival starts with an aerobatic show over Al-Busaiteen district sky behind the new King Hamad Hospital for 45 minutes approximately. The aerobatic show shall be performed by the international air-taxi team for airshows who won five Guinness records awards. Afterwards, around 16:00 the family festival shall be hosted at Dohat Arad district by various government ministries and aviation companies, NGOs, professional organizations, pop music troupes, kids’ entertainment and various competitions intermingled with presentation of gifts and prizes to the public as well as various other functions.
