The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) announced that the dates for submitting applications for its 2013 scholarships will be from February 19 to March, 1, 2012. This came during a series of presentations on the CPISP Application Process for secondary school students eligible for the Crown Prince’s 2013 scholarships.
CPISP Acting Director Dr. Cynthia Gessling gave a series of presentations last week at the Ministry of Education Hall in Isa Town for secondary students who met the Program’s application criteria, where she explained that applying for the CPISP’s 2013 scholarships was a two-step process that involved submitting an application during the period of February 19 to March, 1, 2012 next year, followed by taking a Qualifying English Language Test administered by the CPISP on 10 March 2012 at the Khawla Secondary School for Girls.
“Based on their GPA’s and results of the Qualifying English language test, the top 60 students will be chosen as candidates for the Program’s final ten scholarships, and will include 40 candidates from Ministry of Education schools, and 20 candidates from private schools,” Dr. Gessling, said.
“The 60 candidates will then undergo a series training courses and seminars upon their selection in March, which will run through the summer and the following academic year,” she added. To be considered for application for the Program’s 2013 scholarships, students must have Bahraini citizenship, be enrolled in the 11th grade or set to graduate from secondary school in 2013, and have a cumulative GPA of 97% or above for grade 10 and the first semester of grade 11.
