His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed that the 32nd session of the GCC Supreme Council, which gets underway later in Riyadh, derives its importance from the historical responsibilities shouldered by the GCC leaders.
“We look forward to understanding and conformity in achieving goals and aspirations which will boost confidence and the sense of security among people,” HM the King in a statement said.
He praised Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his sagacity stressing that his wisdom will further enhance the GCC unity and bolster relations among the member states.
He asserted that the decisions and results the summit would yield would underline the GCC countries’ strong resolve to go ahead in solidifying unity among them for a secure life based on cooperation.
“This confirms that the GCC countries are looking seriously and in depth for ways to achieve the aspirations of their people for a better future,” HM King Hamad said.
“Our renewed meetings are a genuine expression of our will and a practical reflection of the strong bonds between us,” he added stressing that the summit aims to achieve people’s aspirations for more GCC unity as well as a decent and free life based on justice, security, pride and glory.
