Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, celebrated Bahrain’s National Day at the airline’s headquarters in Muharraq. Hundreds of Gulf Air employees were greeted by the airline’s Chief Executive Officer Samer Majali, who cut a special cake to mark the occasion.
“As Bahrain’s flag carrier, National Day is an important day for us and an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the close synergies between the country and the airline. On behalf of all employees, I would like to congratulate the leadership and people of Bahrain on this joyous occasion, and wish the Kingdom all success and prosperity,” Majali, added.
Gulf Air employees wore special pins emblazoned with the flag of both the country and the airline in celebration of the National Day, as well as the colors of the national flag to celebrate the day. In addition, the medical services team of the carrier led a 30 minute walkathon in Dohat Arad Park & Sanctuary. The airline will also participate in the Civil Aviation Authority’s National Day Celebration on 16 – 18 December 2011 in Dohat Arad Park and Sanctuary, where Gulf Air will provide tickets to be won at the event.
