Dr. Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Energy and Chairman of National Oil and Gas Authority, who chaired the 9th Tatweer Petroleum board of directors’ meeting at company main office in the presence of the representatives of Occidental, Mubadala and Nogaholding companies as members of the Board, told the board that Tatweer has created 2300 direct and indirect jobs since its inception.
The meeting discussed a number of organizational matters as well as an update on HSE Management System, HR recruitment plans and Tatweer Code of Business Conduct. The board was updated on company operations and the main highlights of the proposed 2012 budget.
The Minister and the board were pleased with the progress of Tatweer Development projects and congratulated Tatweer for the successful implementation of its plans to increase oil and gas production for this year and the progress made in creating more than 300 jobs hired directly by Tatweer and 2,000 jobs indirectly through main contractors and local suppliers to support major projects for the account of Tatweer. The board, also, reviewed the preparations for the inauguration of the second group of compression facilities in few days time.
Dr. Mirza expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the wise political leadership of HM King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister and HRH Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince for their continued support to the Petroleum industry in the Kingdom.
Dr. Mirza, also, conveyed his thanks and appreciation to the Executive Management and all employees of Tatweer Petroleum for their dedication and hard work.
