A two-day regional conference spotlighting national and GCC security opens on January 17 under the auspices of Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa.
The Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies is organizing the event under the theme: “National and GCC Regional Security: An Inside Vision”.
“The conference seeks problems that jeopardize the security of the GCC countries in light of current developments and tries to explore a practical vision for the challenges facing the six-nation bloc”, His Majesty’s Advisor for diplomatic affairs and centre board of trustees’ chairman Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Ghaffar said.
He said that the conference would shed the light on the intertwinement between the national security and the GCC regional security.
GCC officials, thinkers and specialists will take part.
The final session will explore a comprehensive concept for the national and GCC comprehensive security.
