The German Orthopaedic Hospital’s corporate film is on a winning streak. Its latest successes were at the OMNI Intermedia Awards held in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. The film picked up awards in three categories for Corporate Film – Medical, Corporate Film – Direction and Television Commercial.
The OMNI Intermedia Awards recognize outstanding media productions that engage, empower and enlighten. Patterned after the Emmy Awards, the Omni Awards committee uses a panel of peer professionals who independently judge each entry based on a standard set of criteria for various media types across the converging fields of Film, Video, TV, Internet, Interactive Media, Animation and Audio production. The Omni Award carries with it the distinction of being chosen by industry peers as an example of excellence.
“The film has done very well,” she said, “following on from a Platinum MarCom Award by the AMCP (Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals) in Arlington, Texas, USA and an INTERCOM Award in the Chicago International Film Festival’s Communication and Media Competition in November 2011 we’re overjoyed with the Omni Awards where we’ve taken not one but three Omnis which give us yet another feather in our caps,” Karolline Immanuel, Managing Director of bCentral Bahrain, said.
The film cuts back and forth between the GOH medical staff and the patient experience from registration through to operation and post-operative support. Each assertion by the medical and surgical team is substantiated and the viewer is able to see the equipments, process and service offered in action. The clear directorial style of Vikram Gupta from Bollywood, which underscores the face-to-face concept, helped the corporate film win in this area.
“As for all international awards, entries are received from around the globe, so this is a great achievement for our entire team and our client to win an award for every entry sent so far,” Karolline added.
“I am happy that we are winning recognition in other fields. But, of course GOH’s excellence is in the field of orthopaedic and medical care and winning these awards shows that we demand high standards in everything we do,” Professor Dr. Heinz Roettinger, the visionary founder and head of Bahrain’s German Orthopaedic Hospital, said.
The OMNI Intermedia Awards are owned and operated by Media Corp, Inc. They recognize outstanding production, design, and content presentation. Each entrant is judged based on a standard set of criteria that includes creativity, graphics, lighting, and functionality. Media Corp, Inc. conducts the Omni Awards program twice a year to recognize outstanding media productions.
German Orthopaedic Hospital is a centre for excellence in MIS (Minimal Invasive Surgery). Dr. Roettinger’s strong ‘patient-centric’ approach to treatment and the hospital’s clinical professionalism are well reflected throughout the film.
