Following the success of the inaugural 2010 Bahrain International Airshow, Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) has once again been appointed as the official provider of full ground handling support services for this year’s Airshow set to take place from January 19 to 21.
BAS have signed an agreement with the Deputy Chairman of Bahrain International Airshow Organising Committee as the key strategic ground support partner for the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) which will start this Thursday at the Sakhir Air Base.
BAS will provide the on-site equipment and all ground handling related services to facilitate the delivery of this first class event, including crew catering and technical support.
“We are proud to be an integral part of the logistics and operational support for this event which the Kingdom of Bahrain is set to host for the second time. This agreement represents our on-going commitment to provide high quality services to the aviation domain of the Kingdom,” BAS CEO, George Saounatsos, said.

Their expertise and skilled ground operational teams are highly equipped to service activities and events within the kingdom – ensuring an event of this calibre is a success,” Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA), Undersecretary and Deputy Chairman of Bahrain International Airshow Supreme Organising Committee Abdulrahman Al-Gaoud, said.
Departing from the Bahrain International Airport and arriving at the Sakhair Airbase; the BAS ground support team have now transported (via a 3hour convoy), 66 pieces of equipment – ready to support the Airshow this weekend!
