The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with its counterpart from the Tunisian city of Sfax, Tunisia.
The Chairman of the BCCI Dr. Esam Fakhro expressed his appreciation for the brotherly relations between the two nations, expressing the BCCI’s ambition to expand the existing Bahraini-Tunisian cooperation through joint ventures and trade delegation visits.
During the meeting that was held with the Tunisian delegation and the Tunisian Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Fakhro confirmed the BCCI’s interest in activating the private sector in both nations to develop and stimulate joint ventures, remarking at the importance of overcoming all obstacles to increase commercial exchange and create a cooperative trade relationship, especially with all the positive factors available.
The Tunisian Ambassador to Bahrain hailed the MoU, calling it a positive step between both sides that will enable investment and trade cooperation through joint ventures. He also welcomed cooperation between the BCCI and Tunisian Chambers of Commerce and Industry to serve the development of shared economy goals, mentioning the willingness of the Tunisian Embassy in Bahrain to work together with the BCCI in organizing visits to Bahraini Trade delegations to Tunisia, and vice versa.
The meeting was attended by the First BCCI Vice Chairman Ebrahim Ali Zainal and members of the board, and executive team at the BCCI.
