The Bahrain International Airshow 2012 is now just 24 hours away and aircraft from across the World are arriving at the Sakhir Airbase in preparation for the show.
The Russian Knights Aerobatic Team have already flown in and will be making one of their rare appearances giving a truly breathtaking display of flying expertise in their Sukhoi SU-27 and SU-27UB fighters. The Al Fursan Display Team from the UAE has also arrived and getting ready to amaze the crowds.
From Thursday 19 January visitors can enjoy the thrill of a full 4 and half hour flying display and watch everything from military fast jets to gyrocopters take to the skies. There will also be plenty of on-ground attractions and entertainment as part of the public Airshow, including the Heritage Village, children’s rides and games, flight simulators and interactive education and fun for all ages.
Visitors will be able to wander amongst an amazing selection of aircraft including vintage greats, civil airliners and helicopters and have an opportunity to meet pilots and flying club members and explore the wonderful world of aviation.
At the end of each day, there will be a fireworks display choreographed to music giving a stunning climax across the Bahraini skies.
The Airshow is open to public visitors on all three days and tickets are only BD7 for adults and BD3 for children. Parking is available at the Bahrain International Circuit and there will be free shuttle buses providing transport to the show.
