Five people holding forged British passports were arrested at the Bahrain International Airport, Assistant Undersecretary of Exists, Search and Follow-up at the General Directorate of Nationality, Passport and Residence announced.
He explained that the suspects approached the passport officer with their passports to get a one-week entry visa for Bahrain, but the officer suspected their passports and he referred them to the automatic reader and they were detected as forged.
The suspects, who turned up to be of an Asian nationality, were arrested, he also said, adding that legal procedures have been taken to refer the suspects to the Public Prosecution.
