A delegation comprising more than 70 German investors was briefed on the salient business features and the overall investment climate in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The presentation covered the environment of investment and economic competitive advantages in the Kingdom of Bahrain during a meeting with a number of members of the Economic Development Board (EDB) during their visit to the Kingdom in the context of a tour that includes the Arabian Gulf region.
The visiting German delegation to the kingdom was invited by the GMBH (Middle East) Best Silicate, a German financial services company incorporated and operating in Bahrain, and which undertakes a variety of investment transactions.
In a press statement an EDB spokesman said that the host company seeks to familiarize the visiting delegation with the distinctive features of the Bahraini investment environment and its competitive advantages over others in the region, in order to encourage the German companies to invest in Bahrain and take advantage of the investment opportunities provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The statement added that the delegation was also briefed on the Kingdom’s flexible policy in dealing with the most prominent economic transformation, the leading role of the Kingdom in global economic competitiveness compared with other countries in the region, and numerous opportunities provided by the investment environment that have attracted international companies and investors, as well as availability of qualified manpower, relatively low-cost living standards, highly supported human development and the freedom of economic transactions that qualify the Kingdom to be the perfect center in the Arabian Gulf markets with trade amount of $1 trillion.
It is worth mentioning that the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Germany reached about 400 million Euros, there are 222 German institutions and agencies and four German companies are currently operating in Bahrain, in addition to 36 companies in Bahrain enjoy partnership status in the areas of investment, technology, shipping, oil industry consulting, decoration, electrical equipment, management consulting and marketing.
