In line with His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s directives to speed up implementation of the Government’s Action Programme (GAP), the Commission tasked with the implementation of the GAP, which is chaired by Minister of State for follow-up affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa, organized a training workshop for all ministries and government bodies.
The three-day event, which is held from January 17 to 19, was attended by HRH the Prime Minister’s Court Chief Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa. Discussions brought under the spotlight the mechanism of using of the electronic system in following up on the GAP.
Al Mutawa said the electronic system aims to follow up on the implementation of the GAP and identify the obstacles that the programme could face.
He thanked the Central Informatics Organization and the Ministry of Finance for their effective role in making this system successful.
The ministries and governmental bodies praised the role of the electronic system in controlling expenditure and monitoring performance.
It is worth to mention that the GAP 2011-2014 presented to the National Assembly by HRH the Prime Minister reflects the foundations of the general policy of the government.
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa urged to develop operational plans and programmes to ensure security and stability, boost the democratic process and strengthen cooperation between the executive and legislative powers.
