Gulf Technics (GT) a wholly owned subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (BMHC) signed an agreement with ST Aerospace to provide component support solutions and services to GT’s inventory of aircraft components.
The agreement is part of a strategic move to provide more efficient service to current and prospective airline customers served by GT and to further develop and strengthen GT’s technical and logistical services.
The contract was signed by GT Head of Research and Business Development, Dr. Ahmed Elnenaey and ST Aerospace Component Total Support, Executive Vice President, Tan Seow Juay.
GT Director Ahmed Al Rayes conveyed his confidence in the relationship between GT and ST Aerospace.
“ST Aerospace was selected for its vast experience as an aircraft component solution provider, and we are hopeful that they will be able to meet the vision of GT, which is to provide world class component services to its customers.”
GT has located significant stock of Airbus A320 and A330/340 in Bahrain to serve Gulf Air and other airlines and clients in the region and across the world.
“With the additional support from ST Aerospace, GT will enhance its pool service level through higher part-availability. Our agreement with ST Aerospace revolves around strict TAT to maintain replenishment of parts at above market standards. In parallel, we will be building our in-house capabilities to develop certain repair capabilities as well as full component engineering services to manage the pool and the growing fleet of our customers,” said Dr. Ahmed Elnenaey.
“ST Aerospace is delighted to be appointed the strategic component service provider for GT,” Tan said.
“GT would be able to leverage ST Aerospace’s global network of maintenance facilities and distribution centers as well as its customer-centric component products to serve the exacting needs of GT’s customers, providing them with high quality, reliable and cost-effective maintenance solutions.
ST Aerospace has a global component distribution network that is supported by an excellent logistics setup, with assets that are strategically placed in various distribution centers located in key cities that include Copenhagen, Guangzhou, Mobile, Oslo, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Stansted and Stockholm.
ST Aerospace has been on the ground at Bahrain International Airport to ramp up its services for GT as part of its Component On-Site Solution to meet the ever increasing requirement of airlines in the Gulf region.
Both ST Aerospace and GT have been working together to meet the needs of GT customers since October 2011.
