Minister of Labour Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan visited the Bahrain National Gas Company (BANGAS) in Al-Sakhir and met with the CEO of Bahrain National Gas Company (Bangas) Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa – the chairman of the Joint Committee of large companies – in the presence of company directors and officials from the Ministry.
The meeting discussed the urgent need for finalization of pending issues pertaining to administrative, financial and legal aspects in order to ensure ending the dossier of demobilized workers and their reinstatement back to their jobs within the next few days.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa emphasized that big firms have made positive response and complied with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the directives of His Royal Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister commensurate with government deposition to implement the recommendations of the Bahraini Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) in favour of reinstatement of demobilized all employees who have not committed any gross violation back to their job as soon as possible in order to maintain the rights of the three sides of production (i.e. the government, employers and employees) and explained the steps and initiatives made by the Joint Committee for follow up, coordination and prompt efforts in order to boost economic growth and stability in compliance with the noble directives of His Majesty the King.
The Minister of Labour also visited Gulf Air and met with its CEO Samir Al-Majali in the presence of the Chairman of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holdings Company Talal Al-Zain and listened to a brief presentation on the actions taken by the company in order to finalize the dossier of demobilized workers and to reinstate them back to their jobs.
Both Bangas and Gulf Air showed positive response and will hopefully announce the results of their efforts for this purpose.
