His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa praised the rich patriotic and civilization values of citizens while expressing their views in a democratic climate.
The freedom of expression was guaranteed by the constitution as a peaceful gathering to convey a constructive message can never be denied or opposed,” HRH said as he received senior officials, religious scholars, journalists, media persons and citizens.
“Throughout its history, Bahrain underwent many experiences and was able, thanks to God, to emerge stronger.
“The recent crisis, despite its severity, has shown people’s unity and honourable stances when the national interest was put at stake. We threw behind what Bahrain has gone through but we drew lessons to prevent recurrence of the experience,” HRH the Prime Minister affirmed.
“Meeting citizens is one of the customs we want to promote, these meetings are the pinnacle of our happiness as they enable us to get closer to citizens, who are always close to us, and assess their needs,” he added.
He also commended the one-family spirit characterizing the Bahraini society.
“We are used to being honest with ourselves and our people and are keen to exchange views in every step. The government’s programmes always rely on citizens’ opinions for they are aimed first and foremost at their welfare. Continuity of the development projects in the kingdom embodies the government’s persistent resolve to serve the nation and people.”
