Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organization (RCO) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa received at his residence the Deputy Speaker of the UK House of Commons Nigel Evans to whom he conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al khalifa.
Shaikh Nasser briefed Nigel on the comprehensive reform project anchored by HM the King and his directives to implement the recommendations of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI), as well as the other globally-acclaimed reform steps taken by the kingdom in this regard recently.
Shaikh Nasser also hailed the solid deep-rooted Bahrain and UK ties, calling for the need to enhance them further for the joint interests of the two friendly countries and their peoples.
Shaikh Nasser also briefed Nigel on RCO’s services aiming to provide orphans and the widows, cared for by HM the King, with the necessary support in order to ensure them better education and upgrade their scientific and social levels.
He also highlighted RCO’s essential role in providing aid relief for people all over the world.
Nigel Evans commended the outstanding historical relations bonding the two countries Bahrain and UK, praising HM the King’s pioneering Reform Project and strong commitment to implement BICI recommendations.
He also appreciated highly HM the King’s support for humanitarian work and the efforts of Shaikh Nasser in this regard.
RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed Al Ameen and the Bahraini Ambassador to UK Alice Sama’an were also present.
