Celebrating “Manama the Capital of Arab Culture 2012”, Culture Minister Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa unveiled the laying of the foundation stone for a new Museum of a settlement dating back five thousand years.
On the sidelines of opening the Japan’s Gallery for the modern Japanese architecture recently at Bahrain National Museum, the Minister of Culture said that architecture is the language of civilization, highlighting that the Japanese architects are known for their accuracy and perfection.
Shaikha Mai declared having a special design for the Museum, done by the famous Japanese architect, Tadao Ando.
Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Shigeki Sumi expressed happiness and thanks to the Ministry of Culture for the outstanding organisation of the Japanese Exhibition of the Modern Japanese architecture. He stressed that the Japanese modern architecture uses advanced technologies professionally to carry out works derived from the ancient Japanese architectural heritage.
