The ushering of the new year couldn’t have been a happier occasion for Hamad Town’s resident Jassim Isa Abdulla Darwish as he received the news of his win in the latest monthly draw on the very popular MyHassad’s ‘Salary For Life’ prize worth BD250,000.
Darwish, a headmaster of a primary school and a father of five children, was presented with the cheque for the prize at the bank’s Seef headquarters by Fadhel Hammad, Area Manager, AUB.
“I and the whole family are all very happy to win this grand prize, but the happiest amongst us all is no doubt my second eldest son who always wanted to follow the lead of his elder brother and study medicine in Egypt as well. This prize will now make his dream a distinct possibility and will afford us the double honour of seeing two medical doctors in the family,” Darwish, said.
“First I intend to give back by donating a portion of the prize to the poor. After that, I plan on using the money to repay an existing bank loan and of course use the money for my children’s higher education,” he said.
The draw on MyHassad prizes are held at the Bank’s headquarters in Seef and are supervised by officials from AUB, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Ernst & Young, the external auditors.
Darwish is only the latest in a long and growing list of lucky MyHassad winners of the monthly grand ‘Salary for Life’ prizes of BD 250,000 (BD 1,000 paid out every month for 250 months). These dream-come-true prizes were designed to give winners the financial freedom to afford better homes, provide better education to their families and make a marked difference in their quality of life, with the assurance that the rewards will continue to come month after month for over 20 years.
And with three grand prizes worth BD 25,000 each plus 25 individual prizes of BD 1,000 on offer every week, the odds have never been greater for loyal savers to be rewarded with exciting year-round opportunities to win bigger, sooner and more often week after week.
