Bahraini retail and commercial banking institution, BMI Bank announced that it had won a record number of three awards at the 3rd Pan Arab Banking Web Awards held in Beirut, Lebanon. BMI Bank received the Best Technical Award, Best Creativity Award as well as the Best Structure Award for its sites under the group site www.bmibank.com.bh The awards function, organized by the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy, was attended by representatives from major regional Banks including those from the GCC, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.

Having an updated website in both Arabic as well as in English, with real time information and updates is no longer a preference but a necessity,” he said.

The ceremony was presided over by the Chairman of the Information Technology Committee, Parliamentary Samer Saadeh in the presence of representatives from the Internal Security Forces Director General, Major General Ashraf Rifi and Fouad Makhzoumi along with the Ambassadors of Jordan and Oman and representatives from the Embassies of Kuwait, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Subsequent to speeches, Pierre Moukarzel, President of the Academy honoured a number of colleagues in the business press and handed them Awards of Appreciation, then presented the prizes and certificates of Honour to the winners of Arab Banks.
The Pan Arab Banking Web Awards, which promotes intellectual and professional creativity in the world of banking and banking services, were created with the objective of recognizing excellence in creating an online service that would cater and quickly adapt to the ever changing banking needs of customers across the region BMI Bank had earlier won a Bronze award for best Web Design at the Pan Arab Web Design Awards in 2008 and the prestigious Bahrain e-Content Award in 2009 in the e-Banking category, recognizing ease of use of its comprehensive e-banking services in a safe and secure environment in which to conduct personal and business transactions.
