In line with the strategic plans of the Information Affairs Authority (IAA) to cooperate with international expertise in Media, the IAA signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Novo City (Russia Today News Channel) in the areas of broadcasting, exchange and possible joint productions of televised shows that include news and science, educational and entertainment programs.
The MoU, signed by Acting President of Broadcast and Television Ali Al Romaihi and the President of Russia Today News Channel Alexander Nizarkov will enable the exchange of experience and training between both parties, and participation in competitions and festivals to reinforce the joint cooperation between Bahrain and Russia on all levels.
Al Romaihi assured the IAA’s intent, under the guidance of Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, on benefiting from international expertise and expertise in media development through working with well-known international television channels, adding that this cooperation comes in line with the information exchange policy, and enlisting all capabilities to provide the right news material for viewers all over the world.
Al Romaihi also said that the IAA welcomes this fruitful cooperation, which is an extension of previously signed and future agreements with several channels with experience in international media to broadcast the true image of the kingdom of Bahrain and what it has achieved in development and advancement on all levels, especially news and education.
Nizarkov welcomed the MoU between the IAA and the Arabic speaking Russia Today News Channel, lauding what he has witnessed from officials in the IAA of ideas and plans for programs that will develop the Arab Media.
