The King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH), which opened its door for public on 6th, announced the first childbirth at the hospital’s maternity ward on Thursday.
Hamad, a healthy baby boy, was delivered after a caesarean surgical procedure was performed on his mother by a team led by Chief of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department Consultant Dr. Hosna Mallas.
The proud parents chose Hamad as the name of their newborn son, a namesake after His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain who had officially inaugurated the hospital on February, 6, 2012.
KHUH is a medical university research facility and encompasses a number of national and international experts in all medical disciplines.
