His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa affirmed that the government’s initiatives to develop vital facilities are going on so as to achieve citizens’ welfare cater to their needs and press ahead with growth and development.
He pointed out, during an inspection visit to King Hamad University Hospital today, that optimizing healthcare by setting up more hospitals and health centres harmonizes with the government’s strategy to achieve sustainable and human development.
He underlined the government’s keenness to assess the most crucial requirements in the health, educational and social fields.
HRH the Prime Minister toured the hospital’s departments and listened to a detailed account on the type of health services provided for patients and the extent of citizens’ satisfaction with them.
He said the state-of-the-art hospital, which boasts highly qualified staff, reflects the kingdom’s keen interest to upgrade the health sector, being a top priority in comprehensive development.
He added the hospital, being a pioneering establishment, will contribute to providing world-class health services and boost efforts to promote health tourism.
“The establishment of King Hamad University Hospital is part of a comprehensive scheme adopted by the government to build up more health and medical institutions nationwide,” he asserted pointing out the government’s relentless efforts to carry out more national projects.
He directed to provide the private sector with all facilities to invest in the medical field.
Writing in the hospital’s visitors’ book, HRH the Prime Minister described the hospital as a national milestone.
He thanked the staff for their efforts in serving patients, wishing them every success.
