Zain hosted a delegation of high level Apple executives at its corporate headquarters. The visit that took place within the framework of joint co-operation between Apple and Zain, which is one of the global technology giant’s key partners in the Middle East.
The Apple delegation’s members were welcomed by a number of senior Zain executives led by Zain Bahrain’s General Manager Mohamed Zainalabedin and Acting Chief Executive Officer of Zain Kuwait Omar Saud Al Omar, Zain Group Chief Marketing Officer M. Jawdat Dajani and other executives and officials of the Company.
The visit took place in the wake of the extensive efforts made by Zain and Apple in the launch of Apple’s products during 2011, including the incredibly successful launches of iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
“Zain and Apple share core values such as customer service excellence and technological leadership and the meeting served to emphasize our common goals. Members of the Apple senior leadership team have expressed their appreciation of Zain’s commitment to top-class service levels, the company’s continued upgrading of systems for its operating networks, and its use of the network and customer base to promote the latest technology in an affordable format. This is where Apple and Zain have worked together extensively and we look forward to expanding our cooperation with Apple in the future,” Zain Bahrain’s General Manager Mohamed Zainalabedin said.
Zainalabedin expressed his satisfaction with this visit during which he had the opportunity to welcome the Apple executives led by Pascal Cagney, Vice President and General Manager in charge of Apple’s Operations in Europe, Middle East, India and Africa, Thomas Presing, Regional Executive Director for Europe and Middle East, John Mark Dubeau, Regional Executive Director of Sales in the Middle East, Africa, France, Italy and Spain and other Company leaders of sales and marketing.
Zainalabdain said that senior Zain executives in the parent Group took part in the many discussions that focused mainly on telecommunications and information revolutions. The two sides reviewed their views concerning the latest ICT solutions and applications for which Apple has become a leader owing to its continuous drive to innovate and constant support to the information revolution.
The Company revealed that this visit had set the stage for a new co-operation protocol between itself and Apple that would herald a new breakthrough in business and technological relationship in telecommunication services. During this visit, it was felt that the Apple officials were keen on further strengthening bilateral relations following the success of the Group companies to promote Apple products on their networks, including the most recent successful launch of iPhone 4S by Zain Bahrain.
