University of Bahrain’s Professor P L Joshi honoured with Sardar Vallabhbahi Patel award at a ceremony held under the aegis of Sardar Patel Vallabhbhai Foundation, New Delhi, India.
The Chief Guest during a ceremony NN Vohra, Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, presented 6th Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International awards to ten people from various fields for displaying benevolent services towards country and countrymen. Professor Prem Lal Joshi, a senior Professor of Accounting at the University of Bahrain was honoured with this prestigious award for his excellence in the field of “Research and Education”. This award is instituted by the foundation in the memory of “Iron Man of India” Sardar Patel (the first Deputy Prime Minister of India).
Dr Joshi’s previous awards include “Hind Rattan Award” from NRI Society of India and “Bharat Gaurav Award” from India International Friendship Society.
Prof. Joshi hails from Uttarakhand State of India. He has been serving with the University of Bahrain for last 19 years. His experience includes the Bilkent University, Turkey, University of Nairobi, Kenya, NITIE (Mumbai) and HN Bahugun Garhwal University, India. He is the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Accounting Auditing and Performance Evaluation (IJAAPE) and Managing Editor of Afro Asian Journal of Finance and Accounting (AAJFA). He is a prolific author. Apart from authoring several books in
Accounting and Budgeting area, he has published more than 100 research papers in accredited international journals in Accounting. He has also conducted several community related studies. He has presented research papers in more 33 international conferences all over the world.
He is listed five times in Marquis Who’s Who in the World. Dr Joshi is a specialist in International Accounting and IFRS.
