Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) received an eight member delegation from the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB). The EDB is a dynamic public agency with an overall responsibility for formulating and overseeing the economic development strategy of Bahrain, and for creating the right climate to attract direct investment into the Kingdom.
Bapco’s delegation was led by Dr. Dawood Nassif, General Manager-Strategy and Business Development Division and represented by Savas Soydaner, Manager-Technology, Karima Rajab Manager Strategic Business Economics and John Harrower Manager-Business Development. The EDB delegation was led by Vivian Jamal, Head of Business Development. During the visit, Bapco arranged a visit to the Bahrain Refinery to provide an overview of Bapco’s impressive refining operation.
This was followed by a meeting to discuss Bapco’s future business plans including the upcoming Refinery Master Plan. During the meeting, both sides explored the potential areas of business development opportunities with Bapco to boost the national economy. Bapco and EDB agreed to continue this interaction in the future for long and mutually beneficial relation.
