The Economic Development Board’s (EDB) CEO Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa welcomed the US-based Enerflex Corporation’s announcement of its intention to open a branch office in Bahrain after the company was awarded a services contract with Petroleum Development Company.
Enerflex (US-Inc.) is a leading company specialized in the domain of gas pressure and maintenance operations services in addition to another three-year contract for maintenance and operation.
EDB’s CEO Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, said that the decision taken by Enerflex to carry out its business in the region through opening a branch office for the company in Bahrain reflects the attractiveness of Bahraini economy and current growth in the oil and gas sector which constitutes a basic pillar in our national economy, welcoming existing cooperation between Enerflex and Oil Development Company under a partnership contract signed by both, asserting that the attraction of overseas companies provides a perfect opportunity for exchanging expertise and training of Bahraini employees and developing their careers and specializations.
Enerflex Corporation’s Executive Director Tawfig Abdul-Khaliq said that Einervlex took its decision to establish a branch office for the company in Bahrain in order to partake in the current oil and gas development projects, citing EDB’s great role in assisting Enerflex in implementing its decision by providing it with legal information and facilitating the process of registration and issuance of commercial licensures within a short period of time and praised the liberal legislative system, solid infrastructures and attractive climate in the Kingdom of Bahrain for expatriate workforce which made it easy for the company to take its decision to move here in order to thrive in Bahrain.
Enerflex operational strategy includes investing in the training of Bahraini citizens and benefiting from engineering and technical services of Bahrain companies.
EDB’s business development team provided supportive facilities and services for registration of Enerflex Corporation in Bahrain and coordinated between Enerflex and legal consultancy services offices.
