Energy Minister Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza inaugurated today the Middle East conference and exhibition on Best Practices in Pipeline Operations, organized by Tiratsoo Technical and Clarion Technical Conferences, with collaboration from Global Web Energy Consultants and in co-ordination with the National Oil and Gas Authority.
The Minister, in his speech, conveyed the wise leadership’s greeting and commended the high level of organization of the conference and accompanying exhibition, which aims to review the best practices in the pipelines industry, the first specialized conference to tackle this topic to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Abdulhussain explained the best practices are defined as the means or methods which have proven through experiments and researches to reliably achieve the desired results. He added that in order to achieve success in this strongly competitive industrial sector we must be obliged to using best practices, which are committed to using the technical knowledge available, and pipelines are of very high importance in this field as they transfer the necessary energy for our industries and our daily needs.
The Minister concluded his speech by extending his thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership for the support provided, and he thanked the sponsoring oil companies, in particular the Saudi Aramco, for their valuable efforts, and all participants in the conference and wished them a good stay in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The conference is attended by more than 420 participants from 26 international countries, in addition to the participation of a large number of specialists from the GCC countries with respect to the accompanying exhibition; the number of participating companies is 65 international companies to exhibit the latest technology in this field.
