His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa this evening the Animal production Show called Mara’ee 2012 held at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
Present at the opening was His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
Upon His Majesty’s arrival at the site of the show, he was received by the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning, head of the supreme organizing Committee of the Animal Production Show- Mara’ee Show Dr. Juma Al Ka’abi along with the ministry’s undersecretary, senior members of the royal family, ministers, senior kingdom officials, diplomats and a number of citizens.
Dr. Juma Al Ka’abi delivered a speech affirming that the event provided a major support for the ministry in holding events and activities that support food security efforts, forming a basis of the development process.
He stressed that the great success of the first Bahrain Animal production Show received satisfaction of the participants and exhibitors and placed Bahrain on the map of international specialized exhibitions.
He added that the increase in the number of participants in this current show signify the success of such shows and its ability in contributing in enhancing the kingdom’s role in supporting international efforts aimed at achieving food security.
Then an operetta titled the Journey of a Rider was performed.
Following a show for Authentic Bahraini Horses that belongs to the royal stable was put on show.
This was followed by a show for Spanish Horses that belongs to the Royal Andalusia Equestrian School, and another horse ride show performed by French Rider Clemens Fifer.
His Majesty the King then honoured the winners of the Beautiful Animal and Bird competition.
The Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning Dr. AlKaabi at the conclusion of the event presented His Majesty the King a commemorative gift.
At the end of the show HM the King expressed thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning for the efforts exerted in Organizing the 2nd Animal Production Show in the Kingdom which His Majesty said reflected the Ministry’s care and concern for the Animal and agriculture sector as well as food security.
His Majesty said that the show this year was unique due to the large participation of local, Arab and International companies. This he said presented an opportunity to get abreast of the latest development the vendors and companies had made this sector as well as the technological developments accomplished in the field of Animal and Agricultural production. His Majesty said that the event is also an opportunity for exchanging expertise in this field.
His Majesty also voiced admiration with the organizing and care for the purpose of bringing success to the show which he said underscored the ability and competency of Bahrainis in organizing and hosting regional, Arab and International exhibitions, conferences and events. HM wished wished everyone success in achieving goals aimed towards development and prosperity.
