Ministry of Human Rights and Social Development (MHRSD) signed a two-year operational agreement with MTI Studio Company to operate its Scientific Centre.
The Human Rights and Social Development Minister Dr. Fatima Al-Blushi revealed that the Centre will be inaugurated next April and will start receiving children, teenagers, school and university students and persons interested in scientific fields in its location in Isa Town.
Dr. Al-Blushi said that the Centre will benefit from the experienced operating company before the national expertise takes over at the expiry of the agreement.
The Minister urged the executive management to implement plans and programs aim to push the Bahraini scientific accomplishment to international standards.
Dr. Fatima stressed the need to design a scientific educational programme that includes all the sectors of the Bahraini society, in particular the educational and training sectors, in the Kingdom, to raise awareness of the goals of the Centre and to benefit from the participation of talented girls and boys in the projects and activities of the Centre, addind that the Centre will provide a mobile exhibition to display the latest scientific materials in various parts in the Kingdom.
She concluded that the Ministry intends to establish similar centres in all governorates in the near future.
