Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, (Mumtalakat) has appointed Mahmood Hashem Al Kooheji as the Chief Executive Officer of the investment arm for non-oil and gas assets of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“I am pleased to welcome Mahmood Al Kooheji as the Chief Executive Officer for Mumtalakat. As former Deputy Chief Executive Officer, he is well placed to continue Mumtalakat’s critical mandate of managing the Kingdom’s strategic commercial assets in line with the aspirations of Bahrain’s economy,” Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Mumtalakat said.
Mahmood Al Kooheji was recently Chief Executive of Tamkeen. He was the Deputy Chief Executive of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company since 2006. He began his career in BAPCO as an Industrial Engineer before joining the Ministry of Finance and National Economy in 1988, where he served as the Director of Government Shareholdings Directorate and Assistant Undersecretary of Economic Affairs. He is Chairman of Alumnium of Bahrain, and holds a number of other board positions.
