Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) donated BD 5,000 to the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties.
The Chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji presented the cheque on Alba’s behalf to the Board Member of the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties, Dr. Adel Kamal.
Also present at the event were other officials from the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties, Fathi Abdul Rahman Mattar, Sahar Juma and Roya Baqer.
Alba’s donation will support the society in further enhancing teaching facilities for autistic children as well as in developing training programmes that would enable them to be productive members in the society.
“Autistic children require special care and attention, and the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties is playing a key role in addressing the educational needs of these children. We are proud of our support to the Society as it will help empower some of the precious members of our community, namely, children with special needs,” the Chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji said.
Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties operates Alia for Early Intervention, a dedicated educational centre for autistic children and those diagnosed with a physical or mental condition that affects cognitive, communication, social or emotional and physical development.
