Bahrain City Centre, the Kingdom’s leading lifestyle destination recently hosted their Annual General Meeting (AGM) which reviewed past highlights of 2011.
Hosted in the casual settings of Wahooo! Waterpark, the venue was well-suited to the event’s theme: ‘Catch the Wave of Success’. More than 150 retailers from the mall came together to reflect on the past year, reflecting on key successes and challenges overcome, and finally, rewarding retailers for excellence in performance with the Retailer Awards of the Year.
The evening was hosted by Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Senior Manager and Lori Cunningham, Marketing Manager for Bahrain City Centre who touched upon some highlights of 2011 which included the opening of more than 20 new stores and the 5-star Kempinski Grand and Ixir Hotel Bahrain City Centre plus community-focused campaigns such as the ‘Make a Difference this Ramadan’ charity drive and the Think Pink Walkathon for breast cancer awareness. Marketing initiatives for 2012 were also presented.
The Bahrain City Centre AGM concluded with the Retailer of the Year awards ceremony where 14 retailers were recognised for excellence in sales performance, operational compliance and standards of customer service. This also included the People’s Choice award which is voted on by the shoppers themselves.
