The BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa attended this morning part of the activities of the Joint Basic Liaison Drill 2012 implemented by the Bahrain Royal Air force with participation from a number of air forces from fraternal and friendly countries.
Upon arrival at the Isa Airbase, the BDF Commander-in-Chief was received by the Bahrain Royal Air Force Commander Brigadier-General Pilot Shaikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, a number of senior BDF officers, the drill’s director, and the heads of participating delegations.
The BDF Commander-in-Chief listened to a briefing on the drill’s objectives and various stages and the participating air forces and aircrafts. The Commander-in-Chief inspected the Operations Center, attended part of the drill activities and closely watched command-and-control equipment.
The Commander-in-Chief praised the Bahrain Royal Air Force which has become an advanced modernized air force similar to the best air forces in terms of weaponry and training and which is increasingly growing stronger day in and day out.
The Commander-in-Chief hailed HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Supreme Commander, citing HM’s wisdom, keenness and commitment to maintaining the Bahrain Royal Air Force up to topnotch standards of development and modernization adding more building blocks to this lofty edifice.
The BDF Commander-in-Chief expressed pride in the visible spirit of mutual cooperation and coordination he felt throughout the stages of this drill, citing the need to conduct such drills so as to gain more field expertise and to boost capability for planning operations with fraternal and friendly air forces and to boost and activate mutual coordination and management of defense work.
The Commander-in-Chief praised BDF personnel for their efficiency, capabilities and vigilance to preserve the security of our beloved country, wishing everyone more success and good luck.
