Within the framework of the official visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Japan, Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro met with President and CEO of Toppan Forms Shu Sakurai, Senior Managing Director Toshira Masuda and Manager of the Management Planning Division Mitchell N. Shinozaki.
Dr. Fakhro confirmed leadership and government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to establish foundation of joint cooperation between Bahrain and Japan through expanding mutual cooperation with the technology and digital industry giant.
Shinozaki gave a presentation of a mock-up store that utilise Toppan Forms’s world-leading products of IC media and equipment (E-Money) and business forms. They use single chip hydraulic IC card, which can play double role: one as identity card and other as E-money. E-money card provides cashless convenience for the holder, who uses the card to make payment. The card is prepayment or account deduction. It can be used for payment in the super market, toll fee collection at the highways and bridges in order to avoid traffic jam, for gasoline stand, parking payment, beverage vending machine, train fee, and so on.
The meeting was also attended by the businessman Ebrahim Alameer and Eman Al-Doseri, acting Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Relations and Bob Hughes, Commercial Advisor at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
