Under the auspices of Minister of Energy Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Oil and Gas (NOGA) Holding Company conducts a specialized training program under the title “Awareness on Risk Management and Sustainability of Business in Oil Companies” in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period 17-19 April 2012 with anticipated participation of (20) employees from the Oil and Gas Holding company and its affiliated companies.
The program is presented by the chairman of the Business Continuity Academy (BCA) James Rhodes from the United Kingdom whose industrial career spans more than 20 in various continents.
Risk management is a strict regimen for appraisal and remedying of risks from all sources which threaten an organization’s strategic objectives, meanwhile business sustainability is a scientific process which ensures an organization’s capability to survive and thrive during critical periods and the protection of investments and boosting of strategic goals and basic initiatives, services and products.
The Minister pointed out that the training program shall be highly specialized for general managers and directors as well as a number of specialists in the Oil and Gas Holding company and its affiliated companies namely Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), Gulf Chemical Industries Company (GPIC), Bahrain National Gas Company (BANGAS), Bahrain National Gas Expansion (EXPANSION) Company, Bahrain Aircraft Fueling company (BAFCO), Oil Development Company (Development), Bahrain Essential Lubricants Company and Scogan Gulf Bitchemm Carriers company.
