Chief Executive of the eGovernment Authority said that the new strategy for the years 2012-2016 aims to achieve excellence in the future generation of government services, encourage innovation and effective participation with the community and boost entrepreneurship.
He said in a statement today that in order to achieve the eGovernment’s objectives, a number of goals have been set up to cater to the needs of partners from the public and private sectors.
These goals, he added, include consolidating social interaction and partnership, protecting data and the user’s rights, bolstering partnership with the private sector, enhancing readiness in the IT and communication field and providing comprehensive, effective and high-quality services.
Deputy Premier and Head of the Supreme Committee for Information Technology and Communications Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa has inaugurated recently the new national strategy of the eGovernment Authority for the years 2012-2016 during the official opening of Bahrain International eGovernment Forum.
He revealed that 90 projects will be carried out over the next years through an approach of three dimensions which are environment, readiness and usage.
He also added that main performance indices and the required period to achieve each goal have been fixed which stand as a proof of the eGovernment Authority’s commitment to cooperation with concerned parties in implementing the new strategy and ensuring forecast goals are reached.
