HRH Prince Salman was speaking as he opened VIVA karting at the Bahrain International Circuit.
The ceremony was attended by His Majesty’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa and HRH Crown Prince’s son Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
HRH Prince Salman took pride in Bahrainis’ stance in support of the Grand Prix for this year, hailing their keenness on national interests above all other considerations.
He paid tribute to Bahrainis for their solidarity, unity of goal and enthusiasm to host this global sporting event. He stressed the importance of preserving the success of Bahrain Grand Prix as a crucial part of the national achievements.
He described Viva Karting Circuit as value adding to other landmark and state-of-the-art BIC facilities.
