Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro confirmed government and Ministry follow up for all developments of local market and the prices movement especially food and consumers goods that increases in demand by consumers, pointing the positive role played by traders and importers in order to achieve market stability and provide all requirement for citizens all the time.
This came during a visit of the local markets which includes Muharraq Central Market, Last Chance as well as Seef Mall and Bahrain City Center.
During Minister visited Manama Central Market for Fruits and Vegetables, traders praised ministry’s efforts that aimed to facilitate import procedures and coordination with other competent authorities to achieve market stability and ensure the flow of selling and buying.
In term of meat, numbers of butchers confirmed the availability of required meat, praising Minister’s role in enhancing stock and providing all their needs continuously.
General Manager of Bahrain Live Stock Company Ibrahim Salman confirmed that there is enough stock of cattle with continuous arrival of shipments.
Through his presence in Last Chance Supermarket in Bahrain, he was briefed on promotions currently available and assured on the availability of consumer’s goods needed for citizens. Rais Uzzaman confirmed the availability of various food items and consumer goods required in large quantities and at reasonable prices.
The inspection visit also included Bahrain City Center, where he was received by Ali Al Qattan, who confirmed the improvement of mall movement in terms visitors and sales, pointing the raise of visitors during week days and weakened. In term of complex facilities, they are working at full capacity and record large numbers of customers at all times. The minister visit Carrefour, where Abdulla Al Bader confirmed the continuous of promotion which includes a lot of goods, pointing the increase of shoppers on weekends and evening times.
On a similar visit to Seef Mall, Marketing Manager Fatima Haqiqi assured the growing number of visitors in addition to the sales and discounts which encouraged attracting more shoppers.
