Tickets to this year’s Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix continue to be in high demand.
The countdown to the highly anticipated race weekend is in its final week, and Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) is now all geared up to host the Formula One spectacle April 20 to 22 in Sakhir.
Ticket sales have soared over the past several days following BIC’s announcement last week that Grammy-nominated pop artists LMFAO will be performing live after the race.
The news has generated a significant buzz across the Kingdom as yet another globally renowned act will be bringing the curtains down on the annual mega event.
Only three-day ticket holders, plus those with tickets to Race Day on Sunday (April 22), will be able to attend the concert, which is expected to attract a massive crowd. It is scheduled to begin at 6pm on the day. BIC will be closing its doors at 3pm at the start of the Grand Prix, and those looking to enjoy LMFAO’s performance must arrive beforehand to ensure their entry to the concert.
Those interested in attending the Bahrain Grand Prix but have yet to purchase their tickets are advised to scoop theirs up today to avoid disappointment. Race fans and entertainment-seekers must not miss out on the region’s biggest sporting and social event of the year!
Tickets can be purchased at several locations across Bahrain. They are available at BIC’s Welcome Centre located at the circuit entrance in Sakhir; at the BIC stands in Seef Mall and Bahrain City Centre; and at the all-new BIC counters at Batelco Retail Shops in Arad, Hamad Town and at The Centre in Nuwaidrat.
Apart from these sites, tickets can also be bought online at www.bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17-450000.
Tickets can be purchased for any one of BIC’s strategically located grandstands, which include the Main Grandstand, the Turn One Grandstand, the Batelco Grandstand, the University Grandstand and the Victory Grandstand.
Tickets can also be bought for the Paddock Club and Gulf Air Club.
All three-day ticket holders will also be able to enjoy an additional activity with their pass. On the Thursday afternoon of the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend, they will be able to get an up-close look at the Formula One teams in their garages in an exclusive Pit Lane Walk. This activity will be held between 3pm and 5pm on the day.
Meanwhile, certain discounts are still available. There is a 50 per cent discount for children aged between three and 15 years old; while school students aged 16 and 17 years old can get a 25 per cent discount. University students can enjoy a discount of 10 per cent.
People with special needs and senior citizens who are aged 60 and above can both receive a 25 per cent discount on their tickets.
Further, BIC is offering a Friday Roaming Ticket for BD65 each. This pass allows the holder to watch all of the Friday action from any or all of the circuit’s Grandstands. They can choose to start the day at the Main Grandstand and will have the freedom to move around, switching grandstands at their leisure.
