His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at his residence in the Thai capital Bangkok Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
HM the King welcomed the upcoming visit of the Thai premier to Bahrain, accompanied by a high profile delegation of economists and businessmen, to discuss aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries.
HM voiced Bahrain’s pride over solid and growing relations between both countries stressing Bahrain’s keenness to further enhance cooperation with Thailand and urging to benefit from the economic and trade opportunities available in both countries.
HM the King welcomed Thailand’s investment in Bahrain’s infrastructure, valuing Thailand’s supportive stances to the kingdom’s efforts to promote its security and stability.
HM said such stances reflect close and deep-rooted ties binding both Kingdoms and their people.
HM the King praised the efforts of the Thai Prime Minister to further cement bilateral relations, voicing admiration of the progress and development witnessed by Thailand. He also thanked Thailand for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him during his visit.
HM the King and the Thai Premier stressed keenness to further enhance joint cooperation through exchanging visits by trade and economic delegations to explore opportunities to set up joint projects for the common benefit of both countries and their people. They also discussed political developments in the region, stressing the importance of strengthening security and stability and voicing support to the international efforts aimed at achieving peace in the Middle East.
The Thai prime Minister expressed thanks and appreciation for the attention and support extended by HM the King to the relations with Thailand, praising the democratic and reform process spearheaded by HM King Hamad in Bahrain.
