His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa lauded the tremendous success of F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2012, describing it as honourable achievement for all Bahrainis who worked hard to ensure success of the international sporting event.
HM the King was speaking as he received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, who was accompanied by Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) board Chairman and members, marking the end of F1 race which was hosted by Bahrain over three days.
HM King Hamad lauded the efforts exerted by HRH the Crown Prince, BIC staff and the Bahraini people who provided all facilities for the kingdom’s guests and visitors.
HM the King stressed that Bahrain has proved its capability to organize and host such major sporting events, pointing out that the F1 race is considered as one of the vital projects which enormously contribute to the national economy and promoting the kingdom’s status on the world map.
HM the King thanked the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and all participating teams for their contributions to the success of the race which reflects global confidence in Bahrain as a major host of such events.
HM King Hamad called on BIC Chairman and members to exert more efforts and work diligently to organize future races, stressing that Bahrain will always remain the land of peace, tolerance, love and good hospitality
