The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments asserted the significant role and responsibilities of religious speeches in preaching the message Islam and consolidate fraternal bonds and national unity.
The Ministry regretted the incitement of violence and fostering of hatred which emanate from an irresponsible approach aimed at addressing last year’s unfortunate incidents.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Ministry cited the significant role of speeches on religious platforms and their genuine mission inspired by the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (peace of Allah and His blessing be upon him, his kinsfolk and companions) who devoted a lifetime for preserving the solid fabric of the Muslim nation.
The Ministry highlighted huge efforts exerted in order to restore national unity and cohesion and to promote values of forbearance and peaceful coexistence.
The Ministry rejected all forms of “religious totalitarianism,” which seek to dictate on people or terrorize them on behalf of religion or which may directly lead to the formation and boosting of extremism and alienation.
The Ministry urged all sensible people to have deep insights into the harmful repercussions of such provocative religious speeches against our national unity, asserting that religious platforms are deemed as one of the essential foundations for the upcoming period of national work in the light of the outcomes of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI).
The Ministry stated that nobody is beyond criticism, or the rule of the law and accountability.
